About the Presentation: 

Are you tired of nagging, saying the same thing over and over again only for it to fall on deaf ears? Has your teen started talking back and testing limits? This workshop will cover common pitfalls parents make and how to avoid them.  It will go over steps to improve your interactions with your teen and how to set reasonable expectations that he or she is more likely to follow.  Specific examples and tools will also be discussed for you to begin using at home.

About the Presenter: 

Dr. Villesca is a Licensed Psychologist with a doctorate from the University of Houston, an evidenced-based program approved by the American Psychological Association. She has been practicing for over 20 years combined in school districts in Texas, with the past 13 years in private practice.  Dr. Villesca specializes in therapy and evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults for many areas including ADHD, autism, oppositional defiant disorder, mood disorders (including bipolar), depression, and anxiety.   She is currently the owner of Katy Psychological Services, PLLC.  https://www.katypsychservices.com/about 

About the Workshop Series:

"Parenting Today's Teens" is a FREE workshop series sponsored by Mirus Academy, focusing on raising teens with positive psychology for peaceful parenting.  We are an inclusive group and open to all parents of teens in the Katy community.  The profesional presentation will be approximately one hour, followed by discussion and socializing. Refreshments will be served.  RSVP is encouraged, but not required, so please feel free to invite other parents to join you!
